QUALE METAFORA TRA L'APPARIRE E IL COMUNICARE?



Morphing è un progetto di incontro, scambio, fusione tra culture e personalità, luoghi e spazi.
Non una riflessione ma un framework in action.


Morphing è' una ricerca su come i media modificano l'identità, la percezione del sé, dell'altro

Il lavoro nasce dalla volontà dei due artisti di indagare sui cambiamenti che i nuovi media operano sulla "comunicazione", modifiche che intervengono non solo sul linguaggio ma anche sulla percezione fisica tra individui.
Questo cambiamento porta a nuove concezioni di spazio-tempo, a una nuova sintesi linguistica, allo sviluppo di nuovi sensi.
Il lavoro non vuole essere una critica ma una riflessione, una presa di coscienza, un'indagine su queste modifiche passando proprio attraverso quel corpo che la nuova comunicazione vuole ridefinire.


Di questa ricerca verranno registrati gli step, come frammenti di lavoro che sarà definito solo alla fine del percorso, attraverso la visione complessiva di tutti i "pezzi".
Gli strumenti sono video, fotografia, web, inteso come sorta di documentazione in tempo reale.
Il morphing, inteso come cambiamento di forma, è l'immagine stessa dei due artisti, ripresi e filmati mentre assistono a eventi diversi o mentre si trovano nei luoghi storici dove hanno le loro radici.
Forma mediata e filtrata dai nuovi mezzi di comunicazione.


Morphing è un work in progress; un lavoro che si compone di frammenti di lavoro realizzati in tempi e spazi diversi.
E' anche e soprattutto una progressione personale dei due artisti, poiché solo alla conclusione di ogni passaggio potrà essere definito il nuovo punto di partenza.

AND COMMUNICATION?


Morphing is a project of meeting, exchange, fusion of culture and personality, places and spaces.
Not a reflection, but a framework in action.



Morphing is a research about how media modifies identity, self perception and perception of others.

The work comes from the desire of the two artists to investigate the changes that new media effect on "communication", changes that involve not only language, but also physical perception between individual.
This change brings a new concept of space-time to a new linguistic synthesis to a development of new senses.

The work seeks to be reflective rather than critical, to be aware, to investigate these modifications by means of that body which the new communications wish to redefine.


This research registers the steps, like fragments of a whole that will only be defined at the end of the course by means of a complete view of all the "pieces".
The tools are video, photography and web, understood as a sort of real time documentary.
The morphing, intended as a change of form, is the same image of the two artists, shot and filmed while assisting at various events or while they visit historic places from where they trace their roots.
The form is mediated and filtered by the new means of communication.





Morphing is a work in progress; a work composed of fragments of work realized in different times and spaces.
It is also and above all a personal progression of the two artists, because it is only at the conclusion of each passage that a new starting point can be determined.
